These errors in the carpet cleaning process often occur when carpet cleaners aren't properly trained in what they're doing or are trying to take shortcuts to get the job done as quickly as possible. This means that the original stains have not only damaged the carpet fibers, but they have also damaged the carpet backing and, possibly, the base. Then, as the moisture evaporates and the carpet dries, the dirty water gradually seeps into the carpet fibers.
